SALARY: $62,502.00 to $103,260.00
The Laval Police Service has over 900 members, including police officers and civilian employees. It includes, among other things, a pre-selection inventory, an interview, a psychometric assessment, a security clearance, a medical examination, and a comprehensive review of the file.
- Be a Canadian citizen;
- Not have been convicted, anywhere, of an act or omission that the Criminal Code describes as an offense;
- Hold a valid class 4A driver's license or be in the process of obtaining it;
- Be a graduate of the initial patrol-gendarmerie training program (PFIPG) from the École nationale de police du Québec (ÉNPQ) or have obtained an equivalence from the ÉNPQ, or be in the 3rd year of the Police Techniques program.

Choosing the Laval Police Service means:

- Starting salary: $66,502.12 including a base salary of $62,502 per year and a metropolitan urban security premium of $4,000.12
- Maximum salary on the scale (reaching the maximum step in 60 to 72 months) $109,868.64 including a base salary of $103,260 per year and a metropolitan urban security premium of $6,608.64
- Seniority bonus of 2.2% of salary after 7 years of service
