Agent - Smoke Alarm Brigade

Is committed to ensuring the safety of citizens by reducing fire risks. As part of our prevention mission, we have formed a brigade dedicated to smoke alarms within the Laval territory to educate, raise awareness, and promote the importance of smoke alarms among citizens.

As a Smoke Alarm Brigade Agent, you will be on the front lines to ensure public safety by:

• Conducting home visits to check the presence and functionality of smoke alarms.
• Raising residents' awareness of good fire prevention practices and resilience to civil safety hazards.
• Reminding occupants that smoke alarms are not optional but mandatory under the Laval Fire Safety Service Regulation.
• Working in collaboration with firefighters and fire service inspectors.
• Writing reports and ensuring follow-up on interventions carried out.

• Who are students in DEP in security intervention, DEC in fire safety, or AEC in fire prevention
• Who possess a valid driver's license (class 5)
• Who is available during the summer period until classes resume
• Having an excellent sense of citizen service and communication.
• Comfortable with fieldwork and interactions with the public.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Aware of fire prevention issues.
