STATUS:   Permanent

The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in fire safety intervention  
  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in fire safety techniques  
  • Possess a valid class 4A driver's license  
  • Possess a valid pleasure craft operator's license  
  • Hold an INU1 certification (Level 1 Emergency Nautical Responder), an asset

Selection process

  • September 29 at 9 AM (duration of about 2h30): Virtual pre-selection inventory (psychometric test + test aimed at assessing basic technical knowledge of the firefighter profession)
  • Weeks of October 19: Physical aptitude test in an aquatic environment
  • November 10, 11, and 12: Physical aptitude and practical and technical skills tests
  • End of November – December: Selection interview
  • Pre-employment verification including:
      • Driver's license verification (class 4A and 5);
      • Pleasure craft operator's license verification;
      • Diploma verification;
      • Medical examination (costs covered by the City)
      • Security clearance investigation.
  • Complete assessment of the file.
