Reporting to the Director of the Management of Buildings, Parks and Public Spaces, you will be responsible for planning and controlling activities related to the security of all buildings and facilities owned by the City of Laval. In this capacity, you will participate in establishing the orientations, objectives, and programs of your department regarding your area of expertise and in developing the annual objectives of your field of intervention, based on the major orientations of the department.
You will collaborate with the Management in implementing and updating the methodology, processes, and tools as well as the development, dissemination, and application of best practices in your area of activities. You will define the annual objectives of your team and implement measures to optimize the performance of the various activities for which you will be responsible.
As a member of the management team of the Service of Management of Buildings, Parks and Public Spaces, you will collaborate in its proper functioning and contribute to achieving its objectives. You will assess and recommend the needs for human, material, and financial resources required for the smooth running of the activities for which you will be responsible and manage the budgets allocated to you. You will submit detailed reports, including accountability reports, and may be called upon to make presentations regarding the activities for which you will be responsible.
Results-oriented, you will guide, direct, and supervise team members in carrying out their respective mandates, determine the general order of priorities, define objectives, and communicate your expectations. You will evaluate performance, recognize achievements, and promote staff development by recommending their training.
